An independent reference point for securities and fund distribution information.
Acolin Europe AG is a Konstanz-based securities institute that compiles, structures, and publishes information on cross-border fund distribution and securities registration across Europe.
We exist to make regulatory information legible.
Cross-border securities distribution sits at the intersection of national regulation, EU directives, and supervisory practice. For most people outside the industry — and for many inside it — this landscape is difficult to navigate without specialist training.
Acolin Europe AG was founded to address that gap. We are not a law firm, a fund administrator, or a financial adviser. We are an information institute: a small team of researchers and editors who track public regulatory sources and turn them into structured, readable reference material.
Principles behind every published entry.
Neutrality
We do not represent any single fund, distributor, or financial product. Our content is written to inform, not to promote.
Accuracy
Every reference entry is checked against publicly available regulatory sources and revisited when those sources are updated.
Accessibility
All information on this website is free to read. We do not place reference material behind a paywall or subscription.
Transparency
Where a topic involves legal nuance or jurisdiction-specific detail, we say so plainly rather than oversimplifying.
How the Institute developed.
Founding research group
A small group of regulatory researchers based in the Lake Constance region began cataloguing cross-border fund registration requirements for internal reference.
Formal incorporation
The research group was incorporated as Acolin Europe AG, with a registered office in Konstanz, Germany, and a mandate to publish informational content openly.
Expanded register coverage
Coverage extended beyond German and Swiss frameworks to include additional European jurisdictions and EU-level passporting concepts.
A continually maintained resource
The Institute continues to review and update its published material, supported entirely through informational publishing with no paid advisory services.
A small, focused editorial group.
Our team combines backgrounds in regulatory research, financial publishing, and editorial writing. We keep the team intentionally small to maintain consistency across the material we publish.
Editorial Research Lead
Oversees the accuracy review process for all published register entries and tracks regulatory developments across covered jurisdictions.
Plain-Language Editor
Translates regulatory and technical material into the clear, structured language used throughout this website.
Information Desk Coordinator
Responds to general informational enquiries submitted through our contact form and maintains our published FAQ material.
A note on scope. Acolin Europe AG is an information publisher. We do not manage funds, execute securities transactions, provide investment advice, or charge for any service offered through this website. Where our content references real regulatory frameworks, it is intended as a general explanatory overview and should not be relied upon as a substitute for professional legal, tax, or financial advice, or for the original regulatory text.
